okay, seriously, it's getting late and i don't think i can stay up much longer... we got up early this morning to get lilly's bath done before her 10am feeding — which, by the way, i totally rocked! check the pics in the album. then we returned for every feeding until 10pm. that's 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, and 10pm. we're starting to act like real parents!
today was quite the eventful day. lilly gained more weight; she's 4lbs 9oz now. a real chunker! she's starting to get really good at taking food from the bottle. she took all her bottle on three separate feedings! and had we known we were allowed to, she could have had more bottles. as it was, the dr had ordered only one bottle feeding per shift. nurse 'firecracker' julie and nurse 'captain' cindy told us after she was fed via tube @ 7 that we can tell them to do whatever we want. the faster she proves she can take food from a bottle, the faster she gets out of there. and she can do it!! so capt cindy called the dr tonight and got him to approve new orders to allow lilly to take as many feedings from a bottle as she wants!! YIPPPEEE!! way to go cindy and firecracker!
let's see, what else...? oh, right. there was the poop incident. in the middle of one of her feedings, little miss lilly let rip a super poop. normally this is great. only this time, she missed the diaper and messed in her outfit and onto moms' leg! it was amazing! hilarious! all the nurses thought it was great.
update on operation 'scrub': the good news is i now know where they are kept. the bad news is that they're kept in the women's locker room... this is going to be a little more difficult than i had originally planned.
alright all you party people, it's time for bed. g'night
